Water & Beach Safety
The Encinitas Lifesaving Association is the nonprofit association that supports the Encinitas Lifeguards.
Encinitas Lifeguards can be seen at beaches and towers between Seabluffe and Swami's. Their ultimate aim is to ensure that the public can enjoy Encinitas beaches safely, by providing information to beachgoers, performing water rescues, mitigating hazards on the beach, and providing First Responder medical services. Given Encinitas' unique topography, the Ocean Lifeguards are also trained in specialty areas like cliff, swift water, and underwater rescue.
