Lifeguard Education Grants
The Encinitas Lifesaving Association is the non profit arm of the City of Encinitas Marine Safety Division, a part of the 9-1-1 system employing ocean lifeguards. We provide annual monetary assistance to ensure these individuals develop the skills necessary to provide exceptional public service, from ongoing medical education to specific trainings like dive and cliff rescue. Lifeguard services include providing safety information to the public, preventative public safety, mitigation of safety hazards on the beach, open- and under-water rescues, first-aid, cliff rescues, and animal rescues.
